• • Every child in the Ishanvi line, bastard born or otherwise, tame and own a Coeurl. They become their mount and fighting companion from the moment they are bonded until death. They undergo a rite of passage and during Iza’s training with beasts in the jungles of the Thavnair, she was found by three of these creatures there while injured. She shocked her clan emerging from the jungles with the 3 kittens in hand. They begin to warm up to her and in their own ways protect her in her travels especially from strangers. While on land, Iza is more comfortable traveling on their backs then on other mounts.
Kaido is her favorite and preferred mount of choice.
When Iza returned to Thavnair (Vihana Arc) she was told that like the Amaros of the First, coeurls can learn to speak from being around men long enough. In that time, Iza begins to teach her sons to speak.

Izani’s so wide, almond-shaped eyes are often significantly more expressive than her expressions themselves. Under thick lashes, bright emerald eyes frame her slits. Her skin is sun-kissed, tanning to a slightly darker tone when in the sun too long.

Upon closer look, Izani’s skin is littered with thin scars from training and other combat. Despite her petite size, Izani’s physique is particularly toned from years of dancing and fighting. With her focus being primarily on the art of dance, muscle definition is particularly noticeable in her arms, legs and abdomen.

Her hair is naturally a curly dark cloud, often times resembling a veil. Upon closer look, It is thick and layered, Its length and style varies through the events of her journey. Its length through out the liberation of Ala Mhigo reached a little below her lower back, and though it doesn't change for the most part between that and the battle of Ghymlit Dark, she does begin letting her unruly curls fall in front of her face.

Izani undergoes a great many changes over the span of her life and time in Eorzea as she grows as a person and, as much of her story revolves around that personal growth and how the journey affects and contributes to it rather than the journey itself, it is difficult to define as a whole. As a child, she was bright and full of energy. She was easily excitable and had a quick, fiery temper to match . She was cheerful and affectionate and had a cheeky side to her. As she grew, though much remained the same, she became more restrained. Though still cheerful and cheeky, she had settled down and put a leash on her temper.
Additional Information -Tattoos
Her body is decorated in tattoos that she acquires during the Vihana Arc. The pattern starts from her left hand up to the arm pattern that spreads on her shoulder. The pattern begins again from the center of her chest and snakes around her back and down her right leg. The most important part of that design is the coeurl on right leg that is meant to symbolize her coeurl, Kaido.

Though she nor her family know where the gift came from, Izani’s sight-related abilities are abundant. In addition to protection from being tempered, she has the ability to tap into an individual’s memories and see scenes in their past. This gift gives Iza a degree of foresight. On rare occasions, it shows her snippets of the distant future; this is how she saw the outcome of the Thavnair treaty with Garlemald and the conquering of Doma and Ala Mhigo before the rebellion would officially take place and its outcome decided.

Although her abilities to see into both past and future might seem convenient, these abilities are not actually something she is fully in control of, often triggering their its own, and usually requiring her to be either in proximity of the (past or future) event or the individual whose past she is seeing into, or be in a location the individual has visited previously.

In battle she is bestowed with enhanced senses or barriers to protect others around her from strong magical attacks. She saw various visions after the gift awoke in her. These visions, seemingly out of nowhere and with no context, showed her the future — the fighting in Eorzea and the battles to come.

ALA MHIGAN RESISTANCE. Though Iza is known to take a neutral stance to most foreign affairs anything that has to do with Garlemald gets her immediate attention. She took an active part in combating the Garlean occupation, serving on both sides of Baelsar's Wall, Ala Mhigo and the battle of Ghymlit. There's a damn good chance that your character was a comrade-in-arms.

COEURLRIDER & HUNTRESS. As is the tradition of the Ishanvi family, Izani is quite skilled at the capture, taming, and breeding of wild beasts, mainly coeurls. It is rare that she ever fails in this task. When that fails, her talents as a huntress help her put down beasts, and carve them up for valuable resources. Perhaps a beast is giving you trouble and you need it put down or capture it.

FIREDANCER & SONGSTRESS. Izani makes the bulk of her coin from street and club performances alike, and has even built up a hefty list of clients where she performs at parties, events, or other social gatherings. Her typical playlist consists of somber melodies from her former life growing up in the Thavnair, paired with the occasional sprightly dance to a more upbeat tune. There is a mystique to her performances, and her exotic appeal will surely mystify your patrons.

FORTUNE TELLING. You might have seen or heard Iza giving others card readings in a bar, on the street, at an event, etc. and wish to have her read your fortune too. Be warned, her visions are not a hoax and what she predicts comes true.

THE FOREIGNER. Dressed in the finest saris and silks one can find in Radz-at-Han, and a distaste for anything else, Izani stands out anywhere she goes when not in battle attire. Perhaps you'd just like to inquire about what brings an outlander here, or perhaps even access to the capital of Thavnair itself? She's a conversationalist, despite the sharp tongue.

My other half.

Izani's base characteristics and background comes from a short story/novel I wrote 6 years ago and never finished. I've taken certain events and traits from her story and mixed it in to the world of Eorzea since I spend 90% of my time here anyway.
It is also very clear that I have altered my character simply because my vision for who she is goes beyond what the game gave.
I hope whether it is through her main story or the alternate worlds I’ve created for her, you will learn to love Izani the way I have.

Behind the Making of Izani

Though we all have visuals of who we believe our OCs will be, we also pull inspiration from movies, books and shows. For me I pulled from my main comfort characters Iza’s personality and backstory, meshing them into one woman and now I will be presenting each part to you!

Persephone, Queen of the underworld, Wife of the god Haides (Hades),The goddess of spring.

Persephone, born Kore, is the Goddess of Spring, the only daughter of Demeter, the heiress to the Barley Mother fortune, future wife of Hades, and future Queen of the Underworld. She is the female protagonist of Lore Olympus.
Raised in the Mortal Realm, she comes to Olympus to study Biochemistry Theory at college. She is currently a candidate for membership among The Goddesses of Eternal Maidenhood. Being the daughter of Demeter, she is a descendant of the 6 Traitors Dynasty.
Persephone demonstrates intelligence by showing a great deal of academic prowess and proficiency in different activities, including chess and competitive swimming.
Despite her innocent aura, there is a particularly darker side to Persephone's personality.

I picked Kore because she is first and foremost my comfort character. I relate to her on a level that sums up me OOC perfectly and for Iza, Kore’s innocent but dark side personality plays key to a lot of things that you will have to roleplay to find out.

Chel is the deuteragonist and Tulio's love interest/girlfriend of The Road to El Dorado.
Chel is cunning and clever. She also appears to be naturally good with children and her caring side also comes out when she is around them.
She is smart, brave, adventurous and a natural con-artist, just as the main characters and prefers to do things without any set plan in mind. She dreams of leaving her village for the outside world.

For Iza’s life as a Sky Pirate Arc and her life as a fire dancer and entertainer I wanted to highlight the freedom that comes with being from an island like Thavnair especially their way of life in dance.
Iza’s charismatic nature and cunning was heavily based on Cher’s personality and her ability to seduce whoever she sets her sights on. Her background as an experienced thief contributed to her life as a treasure hunter and pirate queen.

Queen Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lady of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, Lady of Dragonstone, Queen of Meereen, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons.

Before Iza comes into her own and becomes known as the Sky Queen, her timid personality is a lot like Dany’s.
I don’t think I need to really explain how Iza owning 3 Coeurls differs from the dragon queen’s 3 dragons.
⠀⠀⠀Who is She?
San (サン), otherwise known as Princess Mononoke or the "Wolf Girl," is the main character, along with Ashitaka, in Princess Mononoke. She acts, behaves, and resembles a wolf due to the fact that she was raised by wolves themselves. San is the Princess of the Wolf Gods.
Albeit a literal warrior-princess, San is fundamentally defined by her appreciation of nature. She is stubborn, short-tempered, courageous, and protective, her primary concern being to protect the forest and animals she lives with. At first, San rejects her own humanity and seems to be quite misanthropic, also thinking of herself only as a wolf.

San’s love for nature and bond with wolves is where Iza’s love for the thavnairian jungles originated as well as her people regarding her as “Coeurl-blooded”.
Her love for her island and it’s people mirrors San’s love for her forest and her hatred in humans for the Garleans.

I am very transparent about my struggles and what I've been through.
As a mental health advocate/fighter I take my positive space very seriously and for the first time in a long time I am doing things for me and not to please anyone.
No matter if you came here to see my screenshots or to roleplay with me I appreciate every and all interactions with the people I meet even if it's for a brief moment. Every reaction I give to someone or a situation is for a reason just like these rules I put in place for my safe space.

WHAT YOU WILL GET FROM ME:
As an RP partner:
Friendship, companionship and above all I will always treat my partners with the same care and respect given to me.
If we roleplay:
I. I am, unfortunately, a ridiculously fast typer some days. Other times it may take me a bit because for me it’s quality over quantity. I want us both to have fun. Please don't feel pressured to submit responses as quickly as I tend to do, take all the time you need! Don’t apologize for being late/slow with replies.
II. Take all of the time you need. Days, weeks, doesn’t matter. Just let me know.
III. Your personal life out of character and your health is most important to me. If you need to drop a roleplay we are doing temporarily or all together, please do. It’s okay. Just stay safe and take care.

This is my main platform for roleplaying, and I'm most comfortable doing it here! Although other places are accepted, my quality might vary, especially if using the in-game chat box. Too small imo.
I mostly prefer Discord for more long term Roleplay. In game rp is reserved for venues, or for long term rp partners but I will meet up to take screenshots with you.
